# Three paths to custom furniture

1. **Customize a collection piece.** Select dimensions, configurations, materials, finishes, and fabrics against the product's CMF documentation. Review renders and approve samples or swatches before production. The guide says this route does not require a new design phase.
2. **Bring a design.** Supply ideas, a concept, or design intent. Limn develops technical and shop drawings, prototypes, engineering, and manufacturing. The documented sequence is design intent, technical/shop drawings, prototype, then production.
3. **Co-create with Limn.** Begin with concept sketches and design development, then follow the technical drawings, prototype, and production approval stages.

Choose the route before requesting a firm schedule. Document decisions and approvals at each applicable milestone. Ask for product-specific CAD/3D files, cutsheets, samples, and finish information rather than assuming every format is publicly downloadable.
