Specifying products, start to finish.

Everything architects, interior designers, and procurement teams need to specify custom pieces. What can be customized, what documentation exists, and how the approval path runs.

There are 3 ways to create custom products with Limn, and each has its own scope, documentation and approval path.

1. Select from our collections and customize

Start with an existing Limn design and make it yours by specifying the dimensions, configurations, materials, finishes and fabrics.

Documentation: Renders of your customized pieces.

Approval Path: Confirm your selections against the CMF documentation → Approve samples/swatches → Production. No design phase required.

2. Bring your Ideas & Designs

Share your ideas, concept and / or designs and we’ll take it from there - technical and shop drawings, prototypes, engineering and manufacturing.

Documentation: Shop drawings and renders produced as part of every custom engagement’s technical phase, plus CAD, cutsheet and sample documentation once products are approved for production.

Approval Path: Your design intent → technical & shop drawings → prototype → production. Every milestone documented and approved before the next begins - your spec is protected from drift by process, not promises.

3. Co-Create with our Team

Work with Limn’s design team from concept to delivery. If you can describe or sketch it, we can design, develop, engineer & build it.

Documentation: Concept sketches, design intent drawings and renderings, then the same technical/ shop drawings and CMF documentation as above.

Approval Path: Concept design → technical & shop drawings → prototype → production, with sign off at every stage.
