From custom to collection, Ragusa.
It began with a commission for a custom dining table.
An Austin-based commercial real estate exec came to us with a request for an elegant, 8 person dining table with a lazy susan. “Dont laugh, but I ate at one recently in Vegas and thought just how family-friendly it was.”
The irony wasn’t lost on us and we got to work on an expanding scope that included a wine cabinet / serving credenza (capable of holding magnums), lighting, and 8 dining chairs.
Although this was an indoor dining set, our client selected teak over the more traditional options of walnut, oak or ash that we presented. “I think teak is just an exceptional wood, and I’m not sure why folks think it’s only for outdoors”, said Mr. Ragusa. We couldn’t have agreed more.
Thomas Lehman & the Analog team, our designers in MIlan, developed a concept inspired by Italian Modernism and tempered by Scandinavian restraint that explored form, proportion, materiality and craftsmanship in equal measure across the table and credenza. We presented the V1 drawings to the Ragusa family who, loving them from the outset, immediately approved them for development..
In addition to the 2 main pieces, the Ragusas selected dining chairs from our Ukiah collection, and the Cosmo light from the Luna collection, also designed by Thomas and now offered by us (and soon to be featured in our new showroom in San Francisco).

From this custom inception point, we’ve now developed our first full indoor collection, thoughtfully detailed and designed for lasting relevance. As we move the pieces from design development into prototyping, our focus is on precise engineering, exceptional materials and contract-grade construction.
True to our mantra of “our form, your expression" we’ll offer many bespoke configurations, materials and finish options across the pieces: modular sectional sofa, lounge chair, swivel chair, guest chair, dining / coffee / side tables.
The circular table and credenza (along with the Cosmo light and Ukiah chairs) are available today, totally customizable for you. The full Ragusa Collection, named for the family that commissioned it, will be available in 2027. Below are a few sneak peeks.
We leave you with a quote from Mr. Ragusa’s mother, who upon first enjoying a meal with her family at the table said, “You know JR III, this isn’t furniture, this is art.”
