Toma Barylak
After graduating from Cornell University an English Major with a focus in creative writing, and before transitioning to commercial real estate, Toma landed his first gig at McMaster Carr, the legendary industrial supplier. There he learned the nuts and bolts of product / market fit, proactive customer service and that when everyone on the team has a real stake in the business, the business does better.
Since 2001 he’s been working at the intersection of humans and buildings – portfolio and workplace strategy, transaction management, design, construction, operations, sustainability – helping people and organizations do their best work in functional, healthy and beautiful spaces.
Serving as Senior Director of Portfolio and Workplace Strategy at Informatica before becoming Head of Real Estate and Workplace Experience at Unity Technologies, Intercom, and most recently at Docusign, Toma lead teams that optimized, designed, and operated 3 million square feet in 33 countries for some 20,000 human beings which, not coincidentally, also included tons of furniture and fixtures.
Which is why he is here – the opportunity to make bespoke products better.
