Serving as Senior Director of Portfolio and Workplace Strategy at Informatica before becoming Head of Real Estate and Workplace Experience at Unity Technologies, Intercom, and most recently at Docusign, Toma lead teams that optimized, designed, and operated 3 million square feet in 33 countries for some 20,000 human beings which, not coincidentally, also included tons of furniture and fixtures.
Ethan began his career in web design, transitioning into interface design before ultimately specialising in user experience design at Ebay, Paypal and most recently Visa.
With a degree in Cultural Anthropology from Cornell University and a Masters Degree in International Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and having lived in Germany, Singapore and China, he applies his anthropological lens to create compelling experiences through a Human-Centered Design approach, ensuring that every decision is rooted in an immersive and empathetic understanding of the end user.

Ragusa began as a custom commission for a Texas-based real estate executive and his family. They were looking to create an 8 person dining table with a rotational centerpiece and wine credenza. Our Italian design team carefully coordinated with our engineering and fabrication teams to create a sculptural work of art to be enjoyed and passed down for generations.
From this custom inception point, we’ve now developed our first full indoor collection, thoughtfully detailed and designed for lasting relevance. As we move the pieces from design development into prototyping, our focus is on precise engineering, exceptional materials and contract-grade construction.
The circular table and credenza (along with the Cosmo light and Ukiah chairs) are available today, totally customizable for you. The full Ragusa Collection, named for the family that commissioned it, will be available in 2027.
